Raquel is a seasoned public relations professional, with experience developing and implementing communications strategies and media outreach initiatives. She also provides third-party stakeholder outreach and support to national Hispanic advocacy groups.
EXPERIENCE: Prior to becoming Director of Public Relations for Amplify, Raquel worked as a senior consultant for Issue Dynamics. Before that, Raquel was an account executive at The Fratelli Group, a boutique public relations firm. There she worked largely on international trade issues and with food industry clients. Her wide-ranging responsibilities included event planning, media relations and collateral development. Before that, Raquel was marketing assistant for National City Bank, and simultaneously volunteered at a local D.C. start-up promoting environmentally friendly products. There, she assisted in research and grassroots publicity efforts.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, Pennsylvania State University
FUN FACT: Raquel participates in a relay triathlon every fall for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help children with life threatening medical conditions.
