
Sylvia Rosenthal, a national expert in telecommunications and consumer education, has more than 25 years of experience as a public affairs/ally development specialist. Sylvia has a national reputation for bringing unlikely allies together to find common ground, and advises clients on constituent relationships, strategic public/private partnerships, and educational outreach programs.
EXPERIENCE: Sylvia started to work for Sam Simon at Issue Dynamics in 1991. Since 1991, Sylvia has served as Executive Director of the Alliance for Public Technology (APT), a nonprofit coalition that spans constituent interests and is dedicated to democratizing technology. As APT's leader, she has successfully collaborated with a diverse range of national and local public interest advocates to design educational programs and materials. From 1987 to 1999, she was Executive Director of the Tele-Consumer Hotline, a toll-free counseling service, where she monitored industry trends and consumer concerns. She also worked closely with the disability community to implement the Hotline's program for information on assistive technologies and services for people with disabilities. Sylvia is an active member of the DC Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals, and serving on the Board and as President in 2002 and 2003.

FUN FACT: Sylvia serves on the Board of Directors for Save a Child's Heart, a worldwide nonprofit organization that provides pediatric heart surgery and follow-up care for children from developing countries.
