Robin Strongin is an accomplished public affairs expert with more than 25 years of experience working in Washington, DC. Her areas of specialization include health care, science, technology and innovation. Robin has worked with and for Federal and state governments, regulatory agencies, Congress, think tanks, nonprofit organizations, corporations, coalitions and trade associations.
EXPERIENCE: Before becoming President of Amplify, Robin was a Managing Partner at the public affairs firm Polidais, LLC. Before joining Polidais, Robin served as a Senior Research Associate with the National Health Policy Forum at George Washington University. While at the Forum, she organized seminars for congressional and executive staff, authored numerous publications, and worked closely with a range of state and federal agencies, professional societies, advocacy groups and consumer organizations. She served as acting Executive Director and Director of Research for the Health Care Technology Institute. Her previous tenures with health and policy organizations include the National Leadership Coalition on Health Care and the Prospective Payment Assessment Commission (now the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission). She was selected as a Presidential Management Intern and worked in the Office of Legislation and Policy of the Health Care Financing Administration (now the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid), in addition to serving in the Office of Congressman James J. Florio (D-NJ). Robin is currently serving on the Public Affairs Council's Senior Executive Task Force and the AcademyHealth Health Policy Communications Interest Group Advisory Committee. She has recently been appointed to the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
