An award-winning innovator, Sam is a pioneer in adapting the Internet for use in public relations and public affairs and started the practice of bridging gaps between industry and non-traditional consumer groups.
Robin Strongin, President and CEO
Robin Strongin is an accomplished public affairs expert with more than 25 years of experience working in Washington, DC. Her areas of specialization include health care, science, technology and innovation. Robin has worked with and for Federal and state governments, regulatory agencies, Congress, think tanks, nonprofit organizations, corporations, coalitions and trade associations.
Sylvia Rosenthal, Senior Vice President
Sylvia Rosenthal, a national expert in telecommunications and consumer education, has more than 25 years of experience as a public affairs/ally development specialist. Sylvia has a national reputation for bringing unlikely allies together to find common ground, and advises clients on constituent relationships, strategic public/private partnerships, and educational outreach programs.
Kevin Reid, Vice President, Internet & Social Media
Kevin Reid heads up Amplify’s Internet group, which manages online campaigns from design and development to messaging, mobilization and analysis. A cutting-edge leader in Internet and Social Media, Kevin also oversees Amplify’s Blogger Relations programs including blog building, monitoring, advertising and training. Kevin also helps clients find ways to integrate virtual worlds like Second Life into their online campaign work.
Dawn Violette, Vice President, Administration
With over 20 years of office operations expertise, Dawn is a seasoned administrative professional. She handles all aspects of APA’s day-to-day administrative needs, including operations, marketing, budgeting, event planning and outreach. She also works closely with the Chairman of the Board and the President of the company to ensure smooth operation of the company.

Elena Berger, Strategist, Internet
Elena is a writer, advocate and online specialist. In her current role with the Internet team at Amplify, Elena implements online campaigns, manages websites, writes content, and advises clients on how to use online tools to reach their audience.
Jennifer Berk, Strategist, Internet
Jennifer Berk is an MIT-trained technical expert, highly skilled at building websites, blogs, and other new media platforms that help clients connect with their stakeholders.
John Breyault, Director, Research
John is a public policy research specialist, producing a range of reports on issues such as telecommunications, energy, and human rights policy. He also serves as the point man for Amplify’s blog monitoring service, conducting in-depth research on the impact that bloggers and the alternative media have on Amplify’s clients.
Niambi (Nia) Edwards, Internet Strategist
Nia is trained graphic artist turned web and online advocacy expert. She lends her skill to the creation of websites, social network branding and client advertising.
Pat Engel, Director, Third-Party Relations
Pat Engel has more than 30 years of experience working on rural, agricultural and education issues. Her diverse background working for and with nonprofits, universities, government agencies, political campaigns and public schools gives her a unique understanding of third party organizational needs and goals.
Shana Glickfield, Director Strategic Communications
Shana is a "literate" lawyer – a skilled communicator, writer and web-specialist with a diverse background in communications law, legislative services and activism. A Web 2.0 expert, Shana helps clients pick the right tools for their online communications needs. She relishes being a translator – taking technical or legal language and helping communicate those messages to a wider audience. Shana is also responsible for marketing at Amplify.
Jose Guzman, Office Manager
A former teacher and performer, Jose now lends his improvisational skills to office organization and tenant management. He serves as point of contact for the five subtenants at Amplify, and is responsible for the day-to-day office procedures and organization.
Tim Harwood, Research Fellow
Tim, a former teacher with the AmeriCorps program, is an experienced researcher and education advocate. Tim provides support for Amplfy’s blog monitoring service, as well as the Telecommunications Research and Action Center (TRAC), and the First Response Coalition (FRC).
Iris Maldonado, Public Affairs Associate
As a Public Affairs Associate, Iris assists with public relations, event planning and marketing communications, working with the strategic alliance, public affairs and third party practice areas. Her duties include handling advertising, third party outreach and project management for a diverse group of clients.
Mia Norman, Clerk
An experienced manager, as office clerk Mia helps ensure Amplify runs smoothly. She is responsible for the mailroom, office and conference room set up, supply ordering, and general secretarial work. Mia’s known for her work ethic and attention to detail.
Raquel Ortiz, Director, Public Relations
Raquel is a seasoned public relations professional, with experience developing and implementing communications strategies and media outreach initiatives. She also provides third-party stakeholder outreach and support to national Hispanic advocacy groups.
Donnie Ruby, Receptionist
Donnie is a customer service professional, with more than 7 years of experience as a manager, trainer and sales representative. At Amplify, he is responsible for providing administrative support, managing the reception desk, and serving as a liaison with building management.

Cleo is a freelance public affairs and media consultant, with more than 17 years of experience working with the press. A long-time advocate, she also assists Amplify with third party outreach.
