Samuel A. Simon, Chairman
Samuel A. Simon is a nationally recognized authority on consumer and public affairs, and a 40-year veteran of the consumer movement. An award-winning innovator, Sam is a pioneer in adapting the Internet for use in public relations and public affairs and started the practice of bridging gaps between industry and non-traditional consumer groups. In addition to his role as Chairman of APA, Sam was honored to be selected as the first Fellow with Intersections International, where he leads their initiative to examine the intersection of power and values and its impact on peace, justice and reconciliation.
Robin Strongin, President and CEO
Robin Strongin is an accomplished public affairs expert with more than 25 years of experience working in Washington, DC. Her areas of specialization include health care, science, technology and innovation. Robin has worked with and for Federal and state governments, regulatory agencies, Congress, think tanks, nonprofit organizations, corporations, coalitions and trade associations.
Kevin Reid, Vice President, Internet & Social Media
Kevin Reid heads up Amplify’s Internet group, which manages online campaigns from design and development to messaging, mobilization and analysis. A cutting-edge leader in Internet and Social Media, Kevin also oversees Amplify’s Blogger Relations programs including blog building, monitoring, advertising and training.
Dawn Violette, Vice President, Administration
With over 20 years of office operations expertise, Dawn is a seasoned administrative professional. She handles all aspects of APA’s day-to-day administrative needs, including operations, marketing, budgeting, event planning and outreach. She also works closely with the Chairman of the Board and the President of the company to ensure smooth operation of the company.
Pat Ford-Roegner, MSW, RN, FAAN, Senior Health Policy Director
Pat Ford-Roegner recently stepped down as CEO of the American Academy of Nursing. She has more than 30 years experience in national health policy and governmental affairs.

Elena Berger, Internet Strategist
Elena is a writer, advocate and online communications specialist. In her current role with the Internet team at Amplify, Elena conceives and implements online campaigns, manages and builds websites, writes content, and advises clients on how to use Internet tools to reach their audience. She also specializes in creating online ad campaigns and issue-based web video.
Jennifer Berk, Director, Marketing and Internet Strategy
Jennifer Berk is an MIT-trained technical expert, highly skilled at building websites, blogs, and other new media platforms that help clients connect with their stakeholders.
Joy Burwell, Senior Associate Public Affairs
Joy Burwell’s advocacy experience and expertise in health policy enable her to influence decision makers with traditional and innovative public affairs strategies.
Niambi (Nia) Edwards, Designer and Internet Strategist
Nia is trained graphic artist turned web and online advocacy expert. She lends her skill to the creation of websites, social network branding and client advertising.
Jose Guzman, Office Manager
A former teacher and performer, Jose now lends his improvisational skills to office organization and content management. He is responsible for the day-to-day office procedures and organization, and works with our Internet team on website updates and email communications.
Dionna Humphrey, Internet Strategist
Dionna Humphrey recently joined Amplify as an Internet Strategist. Prior to working at Amplify, Dionna was a consultant, working on advocacy and fundraising strategies.
Alison McCauley, Internet Associate
Alison integrates her skills as a writer, her training in public communications, and her extensive knowledge of various web platforms to assist in developing effective online presences.
Raquel Ortiz, Director, Public Relations
Raquel is a seasoned public relations professional, with experience developing and implementing communications strategies and media outreach initiatives. She also serves as client liaison to national Hispanic and consumer advocacy organizations.

Peter Rankel provides data mining and cluster analysis services for Amplify’s clients. He uses statistical tools to discover patterns in data and implements statistical tests using a combination of tools and methodologies.
