Amplify Welcomes New Members to its Team

Washington, D.C. – Amplify Public Affairs is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its growing team.  With expertise in a range of issues including health care and the environment, Amplify’s newest additions will help the firm continue to serve as a leader in the implementation of new and traditional communications strategies.

Pat Ford-Roegner has joined as Senior Director.  She will advise Amplify’s health care clients on effective advocacy and communications strategies, drawing upon more than 30 years of experience in national health policy and governmental affairs.  Most recently, Pat served as CEO of the American Academy of Nursing.  Pat’s career included service as Atlanta regional director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 1993 to 1999, overseeing more than 500 employees and more than 20 percent of the agency’s national budget. One of the few nurses who has held a presidential appointment, she led that region to become the first to successfully implement Children Health Initiative Programs in each of its eight states. Prior to that she held a White House appointment co-leading the Health Professionals Council working on health care reform.

Joy Burwell has joined as a Public Affairs Senior Associate.  In this capacity Joy will assist Amplify’s clients in the implementation of public affairs and advocacy campaigns.  Joy also comes to Amplify from the American Academy of Nursing where she advocated for nursing’s contributions to health reform and monitored health policy trends including health information technology, workforce issues and nursing research.  Joy received her Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University.

Dionna Humphrey has joined Amplify as an Internet Strategist where she will assist the Internet team in integrating technology and Internet strategy into public affairs campaigns.  Previously, Dionna served as a campaign director for MomsRising and also led the advocacy efforts at the National Parks Conservation Association, where she built programs to support the organization’s strategic priorities. Dionna received her B.A. in Women’s Studies and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Amplify is also pleased to announce its new partnership with Candace Littell, LLC:

Candace Littell is a senior advisor and counselor for corporate clients, associations and related organizations. She is an executive with nearly 30 years of diverse experience in healthcare financing, reimbursement, policy, strategy and advocacy.
