AMPLIFIERS OF THE MONTH

Nurses Highlight Their Contributions to the Health Care System

AAN adAmplify was pleased to work with the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) to help acknowledge the essential contributions nurses make to the American health care system. On September 24, AAN ran an ad in The Hill declaring that "any discussion about health reform without signficant input from nurses is not real reform." Amplify is working with AAN on its Raise the Voice campaign to highlight nursing solutions that can fix our ailing health care system. You can learn more at www.aannet.org.

APA Promotes IFAW's Animal Action Week

Did you know that nearly 90% of waste in the ocean is plastic?

Amplify is building interactive website elements and helping with promotion for this year’s Animal Action Week, the International Fund for Animal Welfare's week-long program used by educators around the world to teach about animals and the environment.  This year’s theme is Beneath the Waves: Protecting Marine Wildlife, and IFAW is encouraging students and teachers to join a global beach cleanup day and send in photos of their teams.  Amplify is managing submissions to the Flickr group documenting the cleanup in seven different languages.
