Job Responsibilities

The Internet Associate will be expected to:

  • Maintain Amplify's website; send out Amplify's e-newsletter, press releases, and other communications as needed
  • Maintain client websites; assist with setting up online advocacy campaigns, sending emails and e-newsletters, and answering other client needs
  • Track statistics and produce reports on website traffic and email performance
  • Assist with general project coordination, including production schedules, and email calendars
  • Participate in strategic planning; identify potential client development opportunities
  • Take on special projects depending on company needs as well as personal interest, including research, design, and other creative endeavors

Qualifications

Candidates will be required to have:

  • Bachelors Degree, plus 1-2 years experience in Internet Advocacy or related work
  • Proficiency in hand-coding HTML
  • Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as self-motivation to work individually
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work well under pressure

Preferred attributes include:

  • Experience using online content management systems, especially GetActive, Convio, and Kintera (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in design software, especially Adobe Photoshop
  • Familiarity with CSS, Javascript, and/or other programming languages
  • Knowledge of Web 2.0 tools such as Facebook and YouTube
  • Experience in customer relations and project management
